TEAMGROUP @ COMPUTEX 2024
This Computex was perhaps the biggest one since the lockdowns: more visitors, more exhibitors, new people and new brands, as well as good old friends and acquaintances.
One such brand is TeamGroup. This Taiwanese brand has been gaining some space in the industry, and are mostly known for their RAM and storage solutions but do plenty more. That's what I went to investigate.
The star of the show is, perhaps, their T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5 RAM. In addition to the classic black design, TeamGroup introduced two new colorways: Pink (Diamond Rose) and White (Fuji White).
I am pretty sure that the original intention TeamGroup has for this RAM is for the user to just pick one color and go with it, but I can't help but notice how the white and pink ones together would look pretty nice on a (maybe pudding or just simply pastel themed) build. This is PC Master Race, after all, and PCMR = freedom to build whatever you like!
It features 2 mm thick aluminum alloy fin heat sinks with heat-conductive silicon, and the two-piece heat spreader has a sandblasted surface treatment that gives it a pleasant feel, even if touching your RAM is something most people won't do very often (you can, and probably should, but please turn your PC off first).
According to TeamGroup, The T-FORCE XTREEM DDR5 Memory Module now will feature a new top-spec of 8,600MHz, but can reach an overclocking performance of up to 10,000Mhz.
For the RGB-oriented (me; possibly you too) they also now have the XTREEM DDR5 ARGB versions.

And in Fuji White
They came in either black or white, with a two-piece light-guided column, and should be able to provide the same level of performance but with some more panache, if that's your thing!
Now, could there be an article about this year's Computex and not one single mention of AI? Of course not! Meet the T-CREATE EXPERT Ai CKD DDR5!
Why is this AI, you wonder? This is not a product that is targeting the gamer PC crowd, but instead the AI application enthusiasts. It comes with an improved heat sync + thermal silicone cooling duo.
The cooling module features vent-holes on the top, high-temperature resistant capacitors, is specced to deliver 7,200 MHz of frequency, 57.6 GB/s wide bandwidth, 2x24 GB capacity, and CL 58 latency and TeamGroup says it will incorporate the new CKD (client clock driver), designed to steadily output high-frequency signals by strengthening and buffering high-frequency signals from the CPU.
Besides these DIMMs, the brand new T-CREATE EXPERT Ai CAMM2 Memory Module was also here. This is a cool new for-factor that made the rounds this Computex.
This one utilizes LPDDR5X chips and an ultra-thin graphene heatsink and is specced up to 7,500/6,400 MHz frequencies, 60/51.2 GB/s high bandwidths, latencies of CL28/CL24, and 32GB/64GB of capacity.
For Gamers and creators, the new release was the T-FORCE GE PRO GEN5 M.2 PCIE SSD with up to 14,000/11,800 MB/s sequential read/write of storage goodness.
Speaking of Gen 5, we all know just how important it is to keep it cool, and we've seen all sorts of solutions to ensure it.
Meet the entire Dark AirFlow line, including some unreleased (concept) units. I was particularly fond of the 06, with the modular heatsync units that you could magnetically connect and create a powerful (and massive, if you so like) tower of coolness, every single one with its own little cool fan.
Speaking of cool little fans. This GPU-Shaped Ram Cooler was a hit! This is the Dark Airflow D5. They have it in black and in white. There is no RGB :(, which may make sense because of temperature, but I want to see if I can convince TeamGroup to add some.
Last but not least, TeamGroup does make storage solutions for professional content creators as well as the Cinema industry. That's where the CinemaPr range falls into.
It is designed to integrate with professional cages for cameras, as it features a design with 12 screw holes (compatible with standard 1/4-inch screw hole cages) and comes with a set-screws bundle. Features a USB Type-C interface promises a maximum transfer speed of up to 2,000 MB/s.
My favorite, however, was this baby, the T-Create Expert P32, with up to 16 TB of room for activities!
