IN MEMORIAM - GORDON MAH UNG
This weekend, one of the original PC journalists and enthusiasts passed away.
Gordon Mah Ung was a legendary man, for many reasons, the most important of which was how great of a human being he was. If you were lucky enough to meet him you know that he always had a smile on his face, a story to tell, and an immense amount of tips, tricks and suggestions for any and every difficulty or question you may have had that was about PCs, technology, or even life in general.
He was one of the very first PC centered journalists and gurus and he was seen as one of the lighthouses of the industry for anyone who engaged in it.
On a personal note, I've had the honor to meet and engage with him many times at events, even had the honor to appear in videos alongside the man himself, and he never failed in showing that kindness, strong but well-centered opinions, technical knowledge, and humor could all be present in the same person, and that person was indeed him.
Gordon was PCMR to the core. He loved PCs, he loved the PC community, and he loved all initiatives that had a goal to bring it together to share the love that he also shared for PCs. We always had the tradition of taking a selfie in every event we saw each other in, which in itself is an enormous privilege. Here are a couple of my favorite, which is exactly the way I'll always remember him. Joking around, having fun, and planning what next launch and hardware to go check out in person at CES or Computex.
Rest in peace, Gordon Mah Ung, you will be sorely missed.
