/u/PCMRBot - About

PCMRBot is a Reddit bot programmed in Python by /u/eegras for automating certain actions, both as a tool for users and for moderators. It operates in /r/pcmasterrace, /r/pcmasterracebuilds and /r/pcmrbots. This code is not open source.

It's functions include:

• Duplicate image detection Reddit loves it's reposts. This attempts to detect them. When it works it's great. When it doesn't it often times confuses people. Click here for more information as to why it can be wrong.
• PCPartPicker list expansionOften people will ask about a build and provide a link to a PC Part Picker list. It's helpful to expand that list for others to see without having to go to PCPP. This now only runs on posts. It won't run on comments.
• Post Flair AssistantReply to your own post with

  !flair Discussion

  to flair the post as Discussion. This supports all of the flair options available to subscribers.
• Plain Text Steam Key DetectionDetects Steam Keys that are apparently in plain text and replies to the poster explaining why this might be a bad idea.

• Common low-effort post removalRemoves a selection of low-effort reposts including:
  • Steam Download Speed Glitches.
  • Screenshots showing someone can now eject their GPU.
    
  • The "give me 5 reasons" shitpost.
    
  • "Horsecock Mod" image.
    
  • The common "Chrome is a RAM hog" shitpost.
