GDC 2024 is here. Game Developers Conference is happening this month, March 18 to 22. If you want to learn more about it and everything surrounding it, check out their Website.

Here are the NVIDIA announcements for this year's event, with a heavy focus on getting RTX and DLSS into popular games and new releases alike:

The Main event:

DLSS 3.5 and Full Ray Tracing coming to Black Myth: Wukong, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT and Portal with RTX; Star Wars Outlaws Launching With DLSS 3 and Ray Tracing.

Black Myth: Wukong Launching With Full Ray Tracing & DLSS 3.5 August 20th

This is an Unreal Engine 5-powered game based on the well-known Monkey King mythology and the 16th Century Journey To The West novel.

NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Adding Full Ray Tracing & DLSS 3.5

Naraka: Bladepoint is a 60-player melee-focused Battle Royale that tends to do well in the Steam top-played lists.

Portal with RTX free Update Adds DLSS 3.5 With Ray Reconstruction and RTX IO

Nvidia is releasing a free update to Portal with RTX, leveraging the latest DLSS and RTX developments for this timeless classic. If you haven't played Portal (and Portal 2, by the way) go do it now!

● Nvidia claims that Enabling DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction multiples frame rates on the GeForce RTX 4090 by 6.2X, enabling max setting, fully ray-traced 4K gameplay at over 100 FPS; on the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, performance is multiplied by 6.7X, to 70+ FPS.

● Nvidia states that In Portal with RTX, NVIDIA RTX IO reduces texture load times by up to 5X, and reduces the

game’s disk drive footprint by 37%.

Star Wars Outlaws Launching This Year With DLSS 3, Ray Tracing & Reflex

Star Wars enthusiasts, and there are millions of us out there, are waiting to see how Outlaws will play like, later this year when it's finally launched. Until then we can now know a bit more about some of the technologies it will support.
